Update
As you all know...I have a tendancy to get very close to people. For the past 6 months I spent a lot of time with a very amazing person who became more than just a boss, but my buddy. I learned so much from Sami and we shared so many laughs, good meals and conversations about life... It has been a surreal experience seeing him through a stroke and pass on. His funeral is today. I am hearbroken of course. The loss is too immense to even verbalize. As this is the first close person to me to pass on, these emotions are all new and rather confusing. I guess one is never ready to say goodbye especially to those who mean so much. I just want to take the time to express how much I love each and every single one of you. I am happy to be coming home on the 15th. -Panda |

My First Emergency Room Visit
So after tossing and turning last night from not being able to find a position to lay down without irritating this swell that I had growing on the top portion of my butt crack-I decided after too much suffering to take myself to the ER. Now mind you, I never get sick and have never been to hospital in my 16 years of being in America. Don't read further if u can't take me grossing you out and taking it there... I sat there on my stomach like a baby with my bare ass exposed, while the nurse cut my ginormous growth and squeezed it like the biggest zit u can imagine. Anyway, I'm glad I made it alive. O, the highlight is that I beat the system, using Patricia's medical card, so the whole time they are calling me Patricia and the nurse happen to have the same birthday. Life is funny. At least when they go down Patti's medical records, this day will be remembered as the day she (actually me) had a huge zit popped on my butt crack. I love my hooligans. U guys are my constant in this world. I can always count on mobbin' it at least 8+ deep, some type of drama, shit talkin', jack in da crack, and hours of talking about the finer things in life (Poo). So after talking to Eric and him telling me that the only people that talk about white people are blacks and us, I thought for a second. I know we throw around honky a lot-but maybe we abuse it a little. I only say this because, I for one have used that word for so long and I know the rage that underlies its usage. I think as ignorant as people come in this crazy world, we should be empathetic and acknowlege that everyone is a human being. I know you guys are aware of this and I'm not trying to be a popo or anything, but after reading a little bit of Cornel West, I was inspired. He dedicated his book to "his wonderful son Clifton Louis West who combats daily the hidden injuries of race with the most potent of weapons--love of self and others." Lets pass that on.
